St. Petersburg Yacht Donation Program
There are plenty of reasons why holding onto an old yacht that’s no longer as much fun as it used to be can be a bad idea. You’ll have to continue paying for storage fees, maintenance and insurance coverage, which can add up to a lot. You could try to sell it, but that can be notoriously difficult. Many sellers can wait for years before a prospective buyer gets in touch with them, and all the while those bills for the upkeep keep arriving.
Fortunately, Breast Cancer Car Donations has an alternative. Our yacht donation program in St. Petersburg lets you unload your unwanted boat with a minimum of hassle while also contributing to a good cause.
How Our Yacht Donation Program Benefits Those in Need
When you give us your old boat, we will take it to one of the reputable auction houses we work with and sell it to the highest bidder. With the proceeds from that sale, we support a number of charitable organizations dedicated to helping uninsured and underserved women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. They gain access to medical facilities where they receive much-needed treatment, including chemotherapy and surgeries. We also help groups that provide services for cancer survivors and those conducting research toward an eventual cure.
How Our Process Works
We accept yacht donations of virtually all types, as well as other watercraft. We even take vessels that are damaged or otherwise not in good working condition. Whatever you have to donate, all you need to do to get started is reach out to us. Here’s a brief summary of how our process works:
- Contact us: Give us a call at 866-540-5089 of fill out our online donation form. No matter how you do it, you’ll need to provide us with some information about you and your boat. Once we verify the details, we will get back to you with a time and place to pick it up that will be most convenient for you. There is no charge for pickup service, either.
- We pick up your yacht: After we take your yacht away, we’ll give you a donation receipt so you can cancel your insurance coverage and registration.
- You receive your tax-deductible receipt: When your yacht sells at auction, you’ll be sent a 100% tax-deductible sales receipt to help you claim a big write-off on your next tax return.
